REVIEW: COPPERTONE CLEARLY SHEER SUNSCREEN LOTION SPF 30

Ever been to the beach, pool, or theme park on a hot summer day and applied sunscreen that smelled overly strong of coconuts and left your skin feeling oily and greasy? I think we've all been there. That's why I was SO excited to try Coppertone Clearly Sheer Sunscreen Lotion, and I am so happy I was given the opportunity to! Coppertone Clearly Sheer Sunscreen Lotion makes various claims on the bottle: "Won't cause breakouts", "Helps leave skin soft", "Fast absorbing", "Feels clean and light", and "Fresh, clean scent". At first I thought, too good to be true. You're trying to tell me that there is a sunscreen out there that doesn't leave my skin feeling oily and doesn't have an overpowering scent? Ya right.

I opened the bottle and applied it on the spots I normally burn. I was shocked that I had to put my hands super close to my nose to get a whiff of the scent. "Fresh, clean scent" = check. I LOVE how this sunscreen lotion smells compared to its competitors. It's a light and faint scent that is NOT your traditional sunscreen lotion scent. Also, I was shocked at how fast the sunscreen lotion absorbed into my skin. In seconds my skin went from a little bit oily to completely moisturized and soft. "Fast absorbing"/"Helps leave skin soft"/"Feels clean and light" = check. As far as the claim about "Won't cause breakouts", I normally don't break out from wearing sunscreen so me saying I didn't experience any breakouts wouldn't be proof that this sunscreen won't cause breakouts on anyone. However, overall, this sunscreen is AMAZING and lives up to the various claims that are made on the bottle. I was completely impressed and will definitely be buying this product in the future.

REVIEW: FRENCH VANILLA NEXT STEP FIT N FULL PROTEIN SHAKE

I recently embarked on a weight-loss journey and couldn't have picked a more perfect time for Influenster to release its #GoVoxBox! Included in this VoxBox was 3 samples of Vitamin Shoppe's Next Step Fit N Full Protein Shakes in French Vanilla, Swiss Chocolate, and Fresh Berries Berries along with a Next Step shaker bottle.  I was so excited to try these shakes from the moment I ripped open my VoxBox! I had never tried a powder protein shake prior to testing these. I was skeptical about how it would taste since it is so simple to make: add 8 oz. of water to the shaker bottle, open package, pour contents into the shaker bottle, and shake (SEE VIDEO BELOW FOR PROOF OF HOW SIMPLE IT WAS TO MAKE THIS SHAKE)! I was also skeptical about its claim to be a "meal replacement" shake... could a shake really fill me up so that I am not craving REAL food?

The flavor that I am going to review today is the French Vanilla Next Step Fit N Full Protein Shake.  When I opened the package, I smelled a scent that brought me back to childhood memories of baking a cake and licking the raw cake batter off of the spoon and bowl.  I immediately got excited... who doesn't love raw cake batter? But even better... who doesn't love raw cake batter that will HELP with weight management? Ummm.. sign me up PLEASE! After the minute or two it took to prepare my shake, I was SO ready for a sip!  WOW... it doesn't just SMELL like cake batter, it TASTES like it also!! What a wonderful and delicious product.  I couldn't believe I could actually drink this yummy sweet drink instead of eating a full meal!  But just as I thought that, I also thought that I wouldn't always want something SO sweet as a meal replacement.  As someone who LOVES savory food, I'm not sure if I could drink these instead of my favorite meal of the day: dinner.  However, I could see myself swapping breakfast or lunch out for one of these shakes.

This shake did do its job of filling me up! I was pleasantly surprised that I was satisfied after drinking the shake.  However, there is just one complaint I would have about this shake... just as those pesky bubbles of cake mix sometimes refuse to incorporate with the rest of the wet ingredients when making cake batter, the protein shake powder was difficult to incorporate into the water to gain a smooth consistency.  The shaker bottle definitely needed some extra help when blending the powder and water together, so I grabbed a fork and started to pop those dry bubbles.  I was able to blend most of the powder into the water but a few powder bubbles remained as I began drinking the shake.

Overall, I truly enjoyed this shake.  It's a great shake that can help you shake those pesky cravings throughout your day!
