6. DIY OPEN WHEN ENVELOPES:

Another cheap and thoughtful idea for a DIY Valentines gift is open when letters! Grab a stack of envelopes and write "Open When..." at the top left corner of each.   For each envelope, write a phrase such as "you need a reminder of why I love you" or "you miss me".  In each envelope, write a note, draw a picture, enclose a photo, or include something that accomplishes the goal of that envelope.

7. DIY 52 REASONS WHY I LOVE YOU:

Does your lover love to play card games? Have a spare deck of cards sitting around collecting dust?  Either way, this is a great DIY idea for your hunny for valentines day.  Grab a deck of cards, some glue, some paper, and a pen and glue one reason why you love your valentine SSSOOOOO on all 52 cards.  You could also print all 52 reasons out, cut them up, and then glue one reason to each card.  To bind all 52 reasons together, punch a hole at the top of each card and string together with ribbon or yarn.

Materials Needed:
Ceramic Mugs
Sharpie Marker
A few Q-tips
Rubbing Alcohol
A Pencil

Steps:
1. Wash and dry the mugs.
2. Sketch your design on the mugs.
3. Trace with the sharpie.  If you happen to mess up DON'T PANIC.  That's why you have the q-tips and rubbing alcohol handy! Use an alcohol soaked q-tip to erase any mishaps that may have occurred.  Once the mess-ups are gone, clean the portion of the mug where the rubbing alcohol was applied before you continue to trace.
4. Let mugs sit for a couple of days. (optional)
5. Set oven to 425°. Place mugs on a cookie sheet and into the oven, allowing them to heat up with the oven during the preheating phase.
6. Bake for 35 minutes.
7. Allow to cool in oven for an hour.

9. DIY CANDY WRAPPERS:

A box of chocolate for Valentine's Day is so boring.  Add some flair to that boring plain box with these FREE candy wrapper printables.  The file includes designs and templates for the tops and bottoms of the box and the candy wrappers, which were designed for Hersey's Nuggets chocolates.  Download and print for FREE HERE!

10. DIY EGGS-TRA SPECIAL SECRET MESSAGES:

Here's an egg-stremely unique way to say "I LOVE YOU" on V-Day! Get however many eggs you'd like, poke them with a needle, and drain them.  Someone commented that draining the insides is a time-consuming process!  Next, cut a skinny strip of paper, write a special secret message for your darling, roll it up very tightly so that it will fit through the small opening in the egg shell, and slip it through the hole.  Lastly, you could decorate your egg however you would like as pictured above! I would cut the egg cartridge to fit however many eggs you choose so it can be used as a box of sorts for your lovie to open.  Then take full creative control and decorate the "box" to your heart's desire.

And that wraps up my top 10 DIY Valentine's Day gifts for you to make for your loved one! Happy Valentine's Day!!
